Raising the bar again ! Not satisfied with the recent installation of ...
This time, we've introduced another innovative idea that raises the bar another notch, and is just another reason why you should choose to stay at the Gold Nugget when you come to Bendigo. The park is now wired for sound! With the introduction of networked amplifiers that take advantage of the Wi-Fi coverage throughout the park, we now have a complete audio visual system controlled and managed from a central point, but with content selectable by our guests. The new system allows us to pipe sound and vision on demand into any or all of 5 separate 'zones' in the park, including the Games Room. Thus, simultaneously, we can have some 'Smooth Jazz' from Detroit in the Amenities, something a little more upbeat in the pool area and/or the Camp Kitchen, and a movie for the kids in the Games Room. |
Pool heating a great success ! The new gas heating, filter and auto-chlorination system has been a great success. We even had some grey nomads who were in the pool in August, the temperature set to 30 deg Celsius. Our 'nomad' guests took the opportunity to exercise their replacement knees & hips! This wasn't what we had in mind prior to installing the gas. The original idea of heating the pool was simply to extend the pool's 'season'. The solar heating was OK - when the sun was shining but useless at cooler times (which is when you really want the heating). So, instead of only being in use from late October to late March, the Pool is now available and (very) usable all year round. Today, it's at 27 deg, and crystal clear. Easter is coming, and again, Easter in Bendigo is HUGE!!! We have a very few number of cabins and sites available. As usual, we'll l be having lots of fun and activities for the kids with our Easter Holiday Program, together with some new events for mom & dad. For a start, a new Giant-Chess Championship Knockout Tournament will run all weekend, with a separate draw for each age group. Entries must be lodged by Good Friday 12 pm, and a prize will be given for each winner in each draw. For those not into chess, there will be plenty of other events to keep the whole family occupied:
